Biography

Kevin "KonKwon" Kwon was born in Seoul, South Korea and was raised in Tokyo, Japan. After 8th grade, Kevin moved to New Jersey and lived there up until summer of 2014. During his gaming career, Kevin played numerous games: Pokemon, Super Smash Bros Melee, MapleStory, Starcraft I & II, SuddenAttack, CS:GO, and more. He is taking a break from completing his business degree from Rutgers University to pursue a professional League of Legends career.

KonKwon started off on Team Dragon Knights and managed to qualify with them for the 2015 NA CS Spring Season but left the team soon after. He then joined Final Five for a brief period but quickly moved to Team Coast near the end of the 2015 NA LCS Spring Split. The team got auto-relegated and they had to play in the 2015 NA CS Summer Split where they finished 1st in the regular season. During the 2015 NA CS Summer Playoffs, Coast beat Cloud9 Tempest 2-0 in the semifinals but lost 2-3 to Renegades in the finals. Nevertheless, Coast still qualified for the 2016 Season of the LCS after defeating NME 3-0 in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Promotion.

After NRG Esports acquired Coast's LCS spot for the 2016 Season, KonKwon was the only member of the Coast roster to stay on NRG. The team had an inconsistent regular season performance, finishing in 5th place with a 9-9 record but securing a spot in the 2016 NA LCS Spring Playoffs.
