Biography

It’s almost like William “Meteos” Hartman never even left. After stepping away from the competitive scene last season, Cloud9’s former superstar jungler returned to lead the team’s new lineup to a 3rd place finish in the 2016 NA LCS Summer Split. He led all NA junglers, and ranked third overall in the league, with a 6.7 KDA during the regular season. But he didn’t stop there. After a disappointing performance in the NA LCS Finals in Toronto, he helped Cloud9 grab North America’s last spot at Worlds by winning the Regional Qualifier.

While he may never earn a 12.7 KDA again like he did back in Season 3, it’s clear Meteos is still a top-tier jungler. He excels at his particular jungle style, which sees him prioritize farming and outscaling his opponents, while simultaneously countering the enemy jungler at key moments. While he’s mostly stuck to Gragas and Rek’Sai this year, don’t be surprised if he pulls out a Zac or Vi pick down the line. If he can catch his opponents off guard, Meteos could lead Cloud9 on a run at Worlds. One thing’s for sure -- Meteos is here to stay.
