Prior to joining OMG, Xiyang was an amateur who was legendary for his mid-lane champion plays in different servers of China, being widely regarded as the best

Syndra and

Cassiopeia in the region. He joined OMG in February of 2014, replacing Cool when the latter needed a break from competitive play. His first tournament with the team was at the International Esports Tournament 2014 where the team placed 2nd, losing 0-2 to Edward Gaming in the finals. After finishing 1st in the regular season of 2014 LPL Spring, OMG qualified for All-Star Paris 2014. Despite finishing 3rd in groups, OMG was able to defeat Cloud9 2-0 in the Semifinals but lost to SK Telecom T1 K in a 0-3 sweep in the Finals. With a solid 2nd place finish at All-Stars, OMG went back to China for the 2014 LPL Spring Playoffs but were unable to win, ending in 3rd place after taking down Team WE 2-1 in the 3rd place match. Xiyang briefly left the team in June of 2014 and joined Positive Energy. He didn't achieve much success with them and rejoined OMG in August. After a 3rd-4th place finish at the 2014 World Championship at which Xiyang did not play in, OMG was able to get a 4th place finish at the NVIDIA Game Festival 2014 and a few semifinal finishes at the 2014 GALAXY eSports Carnival and the Demacia Cup - Season 2.
