Biography

YellOwStaR's first gaming experience started at a very early stage in his life; he was only two years old when he first played on the Megadrive. At an age of 8, he switched to PC gaming and, upon playing StarCraft for the first time, he was stuck to the RTS genre.[1] In 2002, he switched to WarCraft 3 due to his brother's insistence. It took him 3 years to step into WC3's competitive scene and make a name for himself under the monikers Unlucky.power and Psyko. He started off as an Undead player, but changed to the Night Elf mid-way through his WC3 career.[2] In 2009, he was introduced to League of Legends by his brother and has been sticking to this ever since.[3]

Bora “Yellowstar” Kim is a veteran of the professional eSports scene, and was a former AD carry that switched to the support role. While many of his peers have ridden off into the sunset of retirement, Yellowstar carries on, driven by an unquenchable desire to be the best in the world. Considering the fact that he has competed at every World Championship this far, it seems his drive is serving him well. And now he is bringing that drive to TSM and the NA LCS.

So what does a wizened pro do for your team? What is it about Yellowstar that has TSM fans so excited? Yellowstar's impact is so widespread that it is almost hard to measure. With Fnatic, he was the intelligent director of the symphony. He was a leader in-game and out, molding his teammates into a focused fighting force. He graciously absorbed criticism in defeat, while passing on the glory in victory. He remained optimistic in the face of overwhelming odds, and kept spirits high after crushing defeats. In 2015, he was awarded the EU LCS Summer Split MVP for leading his former comrades into the record books with a perfect 18W-0L season. He followed it up with a Semifinal spot at the 2015 World Championship.
